My husband, Fred, and I are
retired and live in Claremont, California, a small town near Los Angeles. We raised our family in Virginia and were
happy to find a town on the west coast that reminded us of those southern roots.
Before becoming a freelance writer, I worked in the Dean of Students
Office at Claremont McKenna College. Previous to CMC, I was employed at General
Dynamics in Educational Services, acting as liaison with state colleges and universities. I have also worked as a consultant,
conducting workshops on Behavior Modification and Stress Management.
My articles have appeared in magazines such as Mature Living, Writers’
Journal and Woman's World and Chicken Soup for the Soul books. I have published articles
and short stories in several on-line magazines. I write book reviews and a weekly blog. I am presently
marketing a mystery set in the high desert, Desert Soliloquy, and a Women's Fiction trilogy:
Promises to Keep, Lydia, True Abundance.
I am a member of the Inland Empire Branch of the California Writers Club and
facilitate a writers’ critique group, where I enjoy the camaraderie of other writers.
